Crystal River's Nature Coast area may be the most popular scallop harvesting destination in Florida! Since scalloping reopened in the crystal river area in 2002, after being banned for several years, Crystal River has proven to be one of the most poplar areas for scalloping. Due to the banning, scallops in our area have once again become abundant.
    Scallop beds are located mostly in shallow water, which makes it easy and fun for the whole family! A snorkel, mask, fins, and a bag are all you need to enjoy this sport.

    Our boat leaves dock at 7:00 am and returns at 1:30 pm the season is only open from July 1st thru September 10th. (So remember to book as soon as possible to insure that seating is available.)

What can one say about one of the most exciting seasons in Florida. Starting July 1st to September 25th you can get together with your family and friends for a fun filled day on the water scalloping, in Crystal River or Homosassa Florida. Scalloping it is like easter egg hunting in the water, while you are snorkeling around gathering scallops you will be looking at other wildlife that the gulf has to offer.

To Scallop in Florida each person is required to have a fishing license. However by going with a Licensed and Insured Captain, the captain provides all license, so you do won't need one.

Enjoy the ride with Captain Charlie and he will take you to where the scallops are. While going to the Scallop grounds you will get to enjoy the abundance of wildlife and Natural beauty the Nature Coast has to offer.

The regulations created by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service are strictly enforced and all visitors are thoroughly briefed prior to entering the water.
